    More to offer

As a food lover living in Zurich I disagree with Sagi's recommendation. Although not Paris or New York or even Tel Aviv, Zuerich has, still, much to offer. With excellent fusion restaurants such as Tre Fratteli, Idaburg and Lasalle. The best sushi I ever had in Samurai, and the numerous cute Italian joints, it's outragous that all you could recommend was the stuffy Zunfthaus...you owe yourself a try of the tuna sashimi at Idaburg and a big apology

    not a very updated info...

Sorry, but the journalist got stuck somewhere in the 80's.
In the last 5 - 6 years, Zurich has produced many new modern and good restaurants.
The examples given in this article mirored the culinary situation of this city 20 years ago.
But it is also true, that if tourists look for traditional Swiss kitchen, they are more likely to find excellent places a bit outside of the main cities.
What a pity, that this article hasn't been able to deliver some new addresses. The Swiss kitchen, being influenced by the Austrian, French and Italian kitchens, offers in fact a rich (also in colories) food; the prices in Zurich and Geneva are abominably high; tourists should look for restaurants in nearby villages, which offer excellent meals for less money.
