הבנק העולמי הוא האחראי על סיוע למדינות מתפתחות. תפקידה של קרן המטבע הבינלאומית ,להבטיח היציבות של מערכת המטבע הבינלאומית.

לשם מידע, סעיף 1 של קרן המטבע הבינלאומית צופה המטרות הבאות:
- קידום שיתוף פעולה מונטרית הבינלאומית
- לקדם התרחבות וצמיחה מאוזנת של הסחר העולמי;
- לקדם יציבות המרות מטבע;
- הקמת מערכת רב צדדית של התשלומים
- לשים את משאביה העומדים לרשותה למדינות העומדות בפני קשיים מאזן התשלומים.

Maybe somebody smarter than myself can explain how exactly they are going to ''save'' Spain and Italy? Giving them the $$ to pay their debts is actually saving the Banks (the German, French etc)) and not the countries's economy and people. A case like that is Greece that received hundreds of billion already and from which ONLY 19% went towards it's economy while 81% went for payments to the banks....And MORE PEOPLE LOST THEIR JOBS AND PENSIONS while the country will end up poorer for lower tax and 0 investment....
It is a bailing out of the banks not the countries.
Please prove me wrong....
