Talk about ''Perspective''!. This extreme notion of religion puts things into perpective and shows us how ridiculous certain aspects of religions can get. Yet forget about our Rabbis changing some of the more ridiculous laws or traditions in Judaism any time soon. The Zoroastrics, just like the Rabbis, are trapped in their own doing. Sometime down the generations they codified certain customs as being part of the essence of the religion and made changing them sacrilege, even though it was only a custom brought about by the necessity of that time. Now that that time has passed and the necessity is gone, they're trapped in keeping the seemingly rediculous custom/law today.
But then the Rabbis went further, by making the very discussion or thinking about changing them, as I am doing now, a sin. Hence the trap.
