Government officials ''amnesia'' with regard to ''outsider'' attempts to meet them is typical and comical. I do not think they believe their own asinine response.
It is a very mellow statement on the part of Prof. Semiat who is up against the same ''boys'' that put Israel in the dubious position to be the only country who stole holocaust survivors' money. No amount of PR can cover the facts that they are short sighted bean counters with no understanding of complex scientific or technical problems or posses the ability or the foresight to solve them. However, they presided over critical and disparaging decisions that play critical role in the decline of the strength and vitality of the state of Israel. Furthermore, they engage in a pattern of parachuting their cronies into key public management positions to enhance their control on the decision making process vital to the survival of Israel.
These ''Treasury Boys'', are acting in their self interest disguised as public servants. However, their actions bear more resemblances to the mafia although they act in impunity disguised as government agency. I wonder whether they will be prosecuted by history or like their previous boss.
Americans who support Israel are watching in amazement the decline of Israel ability to make the right decisions. It weakens Israel military, economy, health services, law enforcement, education and erodes other components of its society strength. It seems that the ''Treasury Boys'' do their ''best'' to help this destructive process.
