you can do yourself a big favor and open up the statistical data concerning budgets and policies in the last 30 years in israel and you'll be amazed to find out how national priorities have changed immensely after the likkud came to power. especially data from the years 1979-1984 might open your eyes. so perhaps be a bit modest and admit that change can also take place through parliament and not only culturally.
